To long-time followers of my blogging, it is no surprise that I am a practitioner of the Catholic faith. I don’t write about it often, but I have shared about how being Catholic became my decision on A Woman’s Reflection.
I recently got to attend Pursuing Biblical Womanhood webinar, hosted in part by my darling friend Anna from She Is Joyful. (You can find more details on the event here.) She and Hannah really did an amazing job putting it all together. Most helpful was the worksheet that they put out before hand, that helped me follow through the webinar.
The workshop timing could not have been more perfect! Last Sunday was the first Sunday of Advent, a special occasion that I got to share with Casey as we attended Church together (we were in Illinois together for Thanksgiving). Setting these goals are timely, as we head in the Advent season, we can better bring God to the focus of our relationship and the Season.
Anna defined Biblical Womanhood, in the webinar, as “being a woman who honors God in the way she lives.” I really loved this because this is something all women should be striving towards. Living with intentionality and in His Service should be the focus of all our lives, in and outside of our relationships.
Before the webinar, I was already familiar with mine and Casey’s love languages. If you haven’t taken the quiz, you should here. This gave me the foundation for creating solid, tangible takeaways from the webinar.
Primarily, I gathered this: relationships- with friends, with significant others, and yes, even with God- are a work in progress. We can always work to be better and more supportive individuals, but in doing so we can never lose sight of our own purposes because it is through this sort of fulfillment that we best serve the Lord.
Did you attend Anna and Hannah’s webinar last week? What did you think?
